How do I subscribe to a cell phone or pager alert?
If your
pager or cell phone is capable of receiving and displaying e-mail
messages, you can have crime alert message delivered to your pager/cell. Your
account may have two such devices set up as alternate addresses.
Select the Type of alert in the "select crime type" field. Then, enter your pager/cell address in the "Cell Number" field on the form.
Your pager/cell address will likely take the form
"7-digit-phone-number@provider.com" (e.g.,
"5555551234@messaging.nextel.com").
Then enter your zip code. NOTE: Zip codes outside of the Dallas Police Department reporting area will NOT WORK as no results are currently being provided law enforcement.
Once you select your zip code, press the "SUBMIT" button to complete the form. You will be notified instantly once new crime reports are received by the system. If you are already a member of the AAGD, then your membership information is already in the system. Simply enter your member number and password to access the membership level of the service.

Messages that we deliver to pager/cell devices are truncated at
approximately 128 characters. Different providers will display our
messages in different ways. For example, some will include the subject
line, and others will not. These variations are beyond our control.
