Shay Mickler

SHAY MICKLER, CAS, CAM, is an Area Manager with the Liberty Group, specializing in the Real Estate Apartment Industry. She previously served as Liberty’s Austin Branch Manager, moving to her current position in 2019.

Established in 1977, The Liberty Group provides temporary staffing services and executive search services for the multi-housing profession, nationwide and serves as a single-point resource for development, management, finance, construction, sales and operational talent in all segments of the multi-housing market.

Shay began her career in the Multi-family industry in 2003 as a leasing consultant and was quickly promoted to Property Manager. She, was awarded the Austin Apartment Association’s Property Manager of the year in 2012, was selected for the 1st Lyceum Leadership Class of 2012 and asked to be on AAA’s first Young Professionals Committee.

After 10+ years on site in the multifamily industry Shay joined The Liberty Group as the Austin Branch Manager. As a result of her outstanding contributions, she was recently promoted to Area Manager over the Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Temple, Waco and Killeen markets.

Mrs. Mickler currently holds her CAM and CAS designations and is the 2019 AAA Doc Young Supplier of the Year. Her strong background in property management prior to joining The Liberty Group in addition to her active involvement in the local Apartment Associations give her invaluable insight into what is needed at each and every property serviced. She has held multiple leadership roles for the Austin Apartment Association, including service on their Board of Directors.

Shay is a NALP trainer for the Austin Community College and Goodwill and still finds time to volunteer for charitable and community events. Her passion for the Multi-Family industry fuels her dedication to finding new talent and representing stellar candidates who help make the apartment industry the professional organization that it is today.
