If you are seeking assistance for a problem with your landlord/property manager, please consider:
- Reaching out directly to your landlord/property manager.
- Reaching out directly to your landlord/property manager's corporate office.
- If you are unable to resolve the issue after the first two steps, look for legal resources in your area or contact a renter/tenant attorney for assistance. In some cases, legal representation will be your only recourse.
- City code violation (trash, water, health, safety, etc.): Contact your city directly.
- Fair housing violation (discrimination in the rental or sale of housing based on race, color, religion, disability, etc.) - Submit a complaint to HUD.
