Class Description:  This class is for all leasing consultants.  Whether you are new to our industry or seasoned and needing a "refresher" this session will motivate, educate and guide you through your everyday responsibilities. This engaging class includes group exercises and brainstorming that promotes outside of the box thinking and gives you new ideas to take back to your office.  You will be encouraged to openly present your ideas and discuss any questions or challenges that you may have.  Get ready for a high energy, motivating session that will elevate your leasing and customer service potential to the top as we build the future leaders of our industry.

• How to successfully prepare for your day
• Fair Housing basics
• Successful telephone techniques
• Best practices for greetings, prospect interviews and qualifying applicants
• Techniques for touring the community
• How to overcome objections
• Ways to “close the deal”

About the Instructor: Jann Villanueva, CAS, NAAEI Faculty

Jann began her career in the Apartment Industry in 1998, working as a leasing consultant with Alpha- Barnes Real Estate Services. Jann quickly moved up the ranks and was an Apartment Manager with Capstone Real Estate Services before she made a career change in 2006 to become a Product and Service Supplier.  From 2006-2009, Jann worked at Apartment Home Living, then joined The Liberty Group as the Dallas Branch Manager, from 2009-2019. Jann joined the Valet Living team, as the Regional Director of Sales in May 2019.

Jann is actively involved with both the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas and the Apartment Association of Tarrant County. Jann is also a member of the NAAEI Faculty, and she is passionate about education for our industry and committed to providing unparalleled service to her clients and team.  Jann is a mother of 4 girls and has been married to her husband, Mike, for over 10 years. She enjoys time with her family and networking with her business partners and industry peers. Jann is an active volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association and founded a Caregivers program with her mother at the Flower Mound Senior Center in March of 2018. 

About the Instructor: Katy Polanco, NALP

Katy is the Training Director at Pace Realty Corporation.  At Pace, her responsibilities include the training and development of all new associates.  This includes the companies leasing policies and procedures, the TAA Lease/Addendums, and associated legal issues including Fair Housing.  Katy started her career in multifamily in 2011 and has a BS in Communications from the University of North Alabama. 

Cancellation Policy:  All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the AAGD Education Department at least 24 hours prior to class. Written confirmation from the Education Department will be sent via e-mail.  Substitutions are allowed, but ALL NO SHOWS WILL BE BILLED WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
