Dallas Housing Authority Announces New Rental Assistance Program
The City of Dallas, in partnership with the Dallas Housing Authority (DHA), has launched a new rental assistance program through the CARES Act.
The program opens today, August 25, 2020 and will allocate $6 million dollars of CARES Act funding to DHA and local nonprofits, including the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas collaborative, Human Rights Initiative, Voice of Hope and Refugee Services of Texas. The funds will be distributed through regular lottery drawings in City Council districts.
Among the application criteria, residents must live in the city of Dallas, have been financially impacted by COVID-19 and have household income at or below 80% of Area Median Income. View all application criteria and details in the resources links below.
